Do you know that Microsoft is planning to shut their Xbox 360’s online store by next year. Even though the users are left to play with the already purchased games and older titles. They are left with the old titles and games which are compatible with the console, but buying new ones will be stopped by next year.
Why is this decision taken?
The Xbox 360 was one of the best-selling gaming consoles of all time. It has sold more than 80 million units till 2014. After which, sales stopped as the Xbox One was launched. Microsoft’s Xbox 360 was first launched in 2005 and gave very tough competition to other platforms. However, now according, to Microsoft, it is time to stop the online store and marketplace well. They have decided to pull the plug on this model to make other new updates series in much more focused spots.
When will this online market close?
According to Mi8crosoft, it is more important to focus on their latest console and subscription service, Game Pass and thus leading to this decision. The date on which Xbox’s market will be closed will be July 29 of next year. By 2024, July 29, the availability of any online stores and markets will be closed forever.
What is the new AIM of Microsoft?
It might be a little sad for Microsoft to close this legendary series. However, according to their statement, as the new generation and people are growing their pace, they as well will focus on more on updated services. Microsoft is to focus on Xbox Series X/S which is the current best place to play and will also be best.
