Aadhar is a 12 digit number that is issued by the UIDAI – Unique Identification Authority of India to the residents of India. While applying for an Aadhar card online, you can easily follow these steps:

  • Visit the official website of UIDAI
  • Navigate to ‘Get Aadhar’ and click on ‘Locate an Enrolment Centre’ under the section ‘My Aadhar.’
  • You will be redirected to a new page with the following options displayed on the screen: State, ZIP Code, and Search Box.
  • Click on any option, fill the form, enter Captcha code and locate a nearby centre of your choice and convenience.
  • Visit the Aadhar enrolment centre with all the supporting documents mentioned on the UIDAI website.
  • Fill up the enrollment form and provide the Aadhar official with your biometric information, such as an iris scan, fingerprints, and other required personal information.
  • Collect your acknowledgement slip after submitting the Aadhar enrolment form.

Documents Required for applying for an Aadhar:-

Proof of Birth:-

Birth Certificate issued by Group A Gazetted Officer on a Letterhead, SSLC Book/ Certificate/ Passport.

Identity Proof:-

PAN card, Passport, Ration Card, Voter ID card, Driving Liscence, Pensioner photo card, Card issued by the Head of School/ College, Bank Passbook etc.
