The Elevate model has been based and built on Honda’s Global Small Car platform. It features a 1.5 litre petrol engine, with an expectation that a hybrid would be joining later. It is also expected that an electric SUV based on the Elevate shall be launched within the next three years.

Specifications and Design of Elevate:-

As far as the dimensions and design of the ‘Elevate’ is concerned, the length of Honda Elevate is 4312mm, its height is 1650mm and its wheelbase is 2650mm,. Besides, the Elevate features a big grille flanked by thin LED headlights and two round fog lamps underneath. The sides feature slightly flared wheel arches for a chunky SUV look, and the window line tapers upwards towards the thick C-pillar.

If you look at the back side of the SUV, the Elevate has a slightly raked rear window and wraparound tail lights connected via a thick bar. It also has a big indentation on the tailgate for the number plate housing. The Elevate also has a 16 inches’ alloy wheels, similar to those on the facelifted City.

This upcoming SUV also features a single pane sunroof and ADAS technology like a collision mitigation brake system, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, road departure warning, and automatic high beam assist.

Powertrain of the SUV:

The Elevate is powered by a 1.5 litre petrol engine, which produces 121 hp and 145 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the front wheels via a 6 speed manual or a CVT. However, it is expected that the company would add a hybrid power train at a later stage.

As soon as the ‘Elevate enters the market, it will for sure face a tough competition from its rivals like Hyundai’s Creta, the Kia’s Seltos, Volkswagen’s Taigun, Skoda’s Kushaq, Maruti Suzuki’s Grand Vitara, Toyota’s Urban Cruiser Hyryder, MG Astor and the upcoming Citroen C3 Aircross. In such a tough competition, price would also play a major role, which by now, has not been disclosed by Honda. However, it is speculated that the stylish design and advanced features of the ‘Elevate’ would really elevate the SUV’S sell.
