The new update in Office 365 default

Microsoft is currently testing new default themes on its office applications. The new default theme is informed to be applied to all the subscribers. This new feature will be seen in use from September among users. This will be a standard view for all Microsoft 365 users. This new default theme will be mainly based on the novel Aptos.

 

What will be the new features?

The new update will bring a new font, style updates, new and fresh colour palette. The default line weights is also be seen to be updated. Applications like Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook will have Aptos as its new default font. The default of Microsoft, has Calibri for the last 15 years or more, will now be replaced by Aptos from September onwards.

What changes will be present in colour palette?

There will also be changes in the palette of Microsoft where the yellow colour will be replaced with the shade of dark green. We will also see some alteration and modification to the default document style of Microsoft. It is also informed in the report from the publication points that the lighter blue colour in the palette will be replaced with a dark teal shade.

What is the aim of the new changes in Office 365?

According to Jess Kwok, product manager at Microsoft 365 stated that the new feature are focusing on making the default more readable and more professional in appearance. Word and Outlook will focus on becoming more professional and the default will be more readable. There will also be some updates regarding team rooms on windows. The meeting Ids and passcodes are being tested and worked upon to increase the security for the IT administrators.
