GPT-3.5 and GPT-4, despite their efforts, are facing financial crisis. The company has not yet reached the revenue level to gain profit. OpenAi’s CEO Sam, Altman is constantly struggling to cope up with the expenses to reach their revenue level. OpenAI was seen to be one of the pioneers of taking AI to everyday uses. However, Sam is seen to be losing control of the financial grip. He tried to establish ChatGPT and AI chat-bot in AI system was one of the leading ideas in the industry.
Despite his ideas, it is seen that the services provided by the AI, prominently ChatGPT, is mugging up more than 5.8 crore per day. Thus, leading to a depletion of Sam’s financial resources. The idea of earning from GPT-3.5 and GPT-4 is seen as costing more than the revenue it generates.
The loss of this revenue achievement is seen to be due to loss in number of users. It is observed that in the last month the AI service has lost around 12% of its users. Thus leading to a great loss in generation of revenue. Even though the beginning have seen a huge influx but recent statistics have proven to0 be working against the services.
It is seen that huge giants that hold candles against OpenAI, like Google and Meta, are creating problems as well. However, the most interesting and difficult situation is created by Elon Musk against OpenAI. It is seen that Must is working to develop “TruthGPT” against OpneAI. It is stated by Must that it will try to oppose OpenbAI and also reveal the biases and hallucinatory tendencies of it.
We are yet to know the future of these services provided by OpenAI, which is currently going through quite a financial problem. It may further lead to a financial crisis and go bankrupt. However, it may also turn around and start generating enough revenue.
