Poco F5 5G is the latest model of Poco in the F series. It offers a powerful processor at a relatively low price. This is currently the only phone sold in India with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 SoC.                                                                                                                                                                       An optically stabilised primary camera, fast charging, and an IP rating are some of the main features of  Poco F5 5G.

There are mainly two RAM varients of Poco F5 5G – 8GB and 12GB, and both features a storage capacity of 256GB. The price of the 8GB RAM varient is Rs. 29,999 and of the 12GB RAM variant is Rs. 33,999.  In the set’s box, you get a full kit of accessories, including a 67W power adapter and a mobile case.

Design

As far as the design of Poco F5 5 G is concerned, it resembles Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Turbo a lot. The set is quite light and slim. The fingerprint sensor is in the power button, which sits uncomfortably flush with the frame. At the bottom, there is a SIM tray for two SIM cards, although there is no micro SD storage expansion slot. The top of the frame has a headphone socket and an IR blaster. The F5 5G is IP53 rated for basic dust and water protection. The set comes in colour variations like Black, Red, White etc.

Specifications and software of Poco F5 5G

When we talk of the specifications and software of Poco F5 5G, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 is a power-efficient SoC built on the 4nm process. It supports a total of 12 5G bands in India, along with Bluetooth 5.3 and dual-band Wi-Fi ac. A vapour chamber cooling system consisting of 14 graphite sheets to manage heat has also been used in it.

Poco F5 5G runs MIUI 14 (14.0.3) which is based on Android 13. the alerts completely and so, allows you to have a better game performance. The set runs very well on the ‘High’ graphics and ‘Max’ framerate setting.

Poco F5 5G has three rear cameras: a 64-megapixel primary with optical stabilisation (OIS), 8-megapixel ultra-wide, and a 2-megapixel macro. The phone also has a 16-megapixel selfie camera. There are also seven film camera filters if you want to add some retro effects to your photos.
